Formed in 1994 CD Pool has changed the way that DJ’s receive and play their music, includes 1000’s of tracks from labels all over the world and has helped break many artists and tracks. CD Pool is fully licensed by the PPL.

Objective
As a dance music promotion service the key to the success of CD Pool is featuring the right artists and mixes from the right labels at the right time, ensuring their subscribers get hold of the best tunes before they are released.
We identified the following core requirements for the new site:
- Website design and brand collateral that reflects the modern, “finger on the pulse” nature of the CD Pool brand;
- full back catalogue search functionality to demonstrate the breath of artists and labels featured;
- the ability to ‘bundle’ products together as part of sales promotions, and crucially;
- full control over site content and product inventory for tge CD Pool compilation team.
Solution
The site uses the proven Roxxor ecommerce framework and features a series of bespoke modules to make product compilation easier for the CD Pool administrators. The end solution is seamlessly integrated with the existing back office and payment solution.
Using an Agile delivery methodology a working solution was released early in the project and this then evolved through regular iterations. Change requests from key members of the project team were implemented enhancing the overall business benefit and the usability of the solution for end customers and administrative users alike.
